A Bit About Me
Meet Indiana: A Compassionate Provisional Psychologist* in Mackay
Indiana is a registered provisional psychologist with the Australian Psychology Board. She also holds memberships with the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Honours) at the Australian Catholic University, Indiana pursued a Master's degree in Professional Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney.
Indiana's therapeutic approach is person-centred, empathetic, non-judgemental and collaborative, creating a safe space for clients to address mental health concerns. She draws from evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing Therapy, to support clients in addressing addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion regulation difficulties, and other life challenges.
In her spare time, Indiana enjoys spending time with her loved ones, especially her furry friends, heading to the beach, and listening to music.

**Wondering what a provisional psychologist is? Indiana is a registered provisional psychologist who is currently undergoing the 5+1 pathway towards becoming a general psychologist. She is in the final year of her +1 internship, which means she has already completed five years of comprehensive university training, including placements, that have equipped her with the necessary skills to deliver appropriate psychological services to clients with a range of mental health presentations.

As part of her internship, Indiana receives weekly supervision from highly experienced psychology board-approved supervising psychologists. This helps her to ensure that she provides the best evidence-based care to her clients.
