Alex Young

Anelle (she/her) is a generalist psychologist with a background in child protection and corrections, as well as clinical experience in custodial corrections, community mental health and education.

 

Anelle has a special interest in trauma and has undergone comprehensive training in trauma treatment. She believes that one size does not fit all, and draws from several treatment modalities to tailor her approach. Anelle is competent in the use of EMDR, CBT and DBT, and draws from principles of ACT and polyvagal theory. She brings a trauma informed approach, shaped by almost 10 years of working with vulnerable populations in public service. She is culturally sensitive, an ally in gender identity and neurodiversity. She brings a warm and empathic nature to the therapy space.

 

In her spare time, Anelle enjoys creative pursuits and all things music related. She is a dog mum of two, a coffee person, and enjoys spending time with family.
